Alyssa Brown-Washington

Sr. Alyssa has 19 years experience teaching from kindergarten to 8th grade. She fluently speaks English and Catawba/Sioux (Ye Iswa) and has a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Law from the University of Baltimore and Yale Gordon respectively. Sr. Alyssa is culturally diverse and a member of Phi Alpha Theta (American Honors Society). Her main goal as a fourth grade teacher is to empower and excite the minds and hearts of her students. “I pray that Allah guides me in helping build a strong sense of Muslim identity, and to help foster a love of learning while following the rulings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, In Shaa Allah.” Sr. alyssa earned her Bachelors in History, Law from the University of Baltimore and Yale respectively.
